'We won £260k on National Lottery Scratchcard and bought one thing to celebrate'

She said it feels "unreal" that they managed to bag so much money, as it couldn't have happened at a better time for them. Kate wanted to share her personal success story with others to show how much it's changed their lives. People were thrilled that luck was on the couple's side in this instance.

Kate, who's based in the Ribble Valley District, admitted it "still feels crazy", even though they won the cash back in 2022. She thinks they may have "manifested" the win, even though luck forms a great part of the game.

Even though many people were amazed, some couldn't stop giggling at how the pair celebrated. Their first purchase may be considered iconic to some, with others admitting they would have done the same.

One person said: "Omg, congratulations. I'd order a Chinese personally." To this, Kate replied: "I'm sure we ordered a takeaway of some kind. I can't even remember, haha."

In the comments, Kate also admitted she focused on clearing any outstanding debts she had at the time before enjoying the cash. Several people were thrilled for her though.

One wrote: "Oh man, I get excited when I win £2. I wouldn't even know what to do if I won that much." Another added: "That's amazing!"
